 Mehndi As Body Art

Through the era, the style and patterns of Mehndi has tremendously changed into a totally new artistic approach. As it is gaining its popularity across the globe, cultural augmentation and familiarity is becoming quite evident.

Different designs have now been produced offering a wide variety for the many versatile personalities that exist and with a gradation of likenesses. Fully recognized, there are basically four main types of Mehndi approaches that are swarming over the globe.

Arabic design, extremely popular in the Middle Eastern countries, is composed of bold and open simple patterns. With few or no fill-ins, large floral designs on the hands and feet enhance the whole beautification procedure. The designs are only abundant on the palm of the hand and feet and, to a lesser degree, on the arms or calves.

On the other hand, Indian artistic designs consist mainly of a large dot, or a figure, in the center with an inch covering the fingertips as well. Mostly the design is overspread on the hand, covering, in some cases, the entire arms or calf muscle.

Closely related to the Indian design is the intricate, and beautiful, Pakistani Mehndi design. It's widely popular because of the reflection of the skills and determination in it's artistry. The design is quite intricate with fine lines and floral designs and regular fill-ins with few left over spaces.

However, this mostly depends on the customer as to whether they want a complete covering, or not. Arms up to the elbow and calf muscles are decorated as in the Indian designs.

Moving over to the African continent, women here are adorned by large and bold patterns. These usually represent large geometrical figures or consist of many lines, or dots. Although they cover very few areas of the hands are feet, the designs are absolutely stunning. As with all Mehndi designs they are fascinating like all other trends.

With these various types of designs available they have given an opportunity for people across the globe to choose the best design(s) which portray their unique personalities. The one design that is best for them and satisfies their internal desire to a greater extent. It also differentiates them from the "normal" tattoos that most people wear!
